Signing up for Novella

This article explains how to create a Novella account and set up your workspace.

Who can sign up?

At the moment, Novella is available by invitation only.

To sign up, you need an early access code. These codes can be reused by multiple people.

If you don’t have an access code yet, please contact the Novella team.

Step 1: Go to the registration page

Open the registration page:

👉 https://app.novellahq.com/auth/register

You’ll be asked to enter your personal details, company details, and an access code.

Step 2: Enter your personal information

Fill in the following fields:

• First name
• Last name
• Business email address
• Password

Password requirements

Your password must:

• Be at least 10 characters long
• Contain:
• a lowercase letter
• an uppercase letter
• a number
• a symbol

You’ll see a password strength indicator while typing.

Step 3: Enter your company information

Company name

Enter the official name of your company or organization.

Primary website domain

Enter your main website domain.

You can paste a full URL — Novella will automatically clean it up.

Examples:

• https://www.example.com/blog → example.com
• www.acme.co.uk → acme.co.uk

This domain is used for workspace identification and future integrations.

Workspace slug

Your workspace slug is part of your survey URLs.

Example:

https://surveys.novellahq.com/your-slug/...

• The slug is automatically suggested based on your company name
• You can edit it manually
• Only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens are allowed
• Maximum length: 24 characters
• Novella checks availability in real time

Once your workspace is created, the slug cannot easily be changed, so choose carefully.

Step 4: Enter your access code

Enter the early access code you received.

If the code is invalid or inactive, you won’t be able to complete registration.

Step 5: Confirm your email address

After submitting the form:

1. You’ll receive a confirmation email
2. Click the Confirm your email button in that email
3. Your account will be activated automatically
4. You’ll be signed in and redirected to your Novella dashboard

If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder.

• Not receiving the confirmation email
• Workspace slug already in use
