Universal Search gives you one place to find customer feedback and move around Novella. Search across your current workspace without leaving the page you are working on, then open the right response, person, company, survey, setting, or feature directly from the results.
What's new
- Search from anywhere: Select the search icon in the top navigation to open Universal Search from any page in Novella.
- Keyboard shortcut: Press Ctrl+K on Windows or Command+K on Mac to open or close search without reaching for your mouse.
- One search for workspace data: Find survey responses by comment, survey, respondent, company, or response tag.
- People, companies, and surveys: Jump directly to matching respondent, company, and survey detail pages.
- Settings and feature discovery: Search for destinations and actions such as creating a survey, managing tags, inviting users, changing brand settings, reviewing analytics, or exporting data.
- Workspace-scoped results: Customer data results are limited to the workspace you are currently viewing. Switching workspaces automatically changes the scope of your next search.
- Permission-aware navigation: Settings and actions only appear when your workspace role has access to them.
- Keyboard-friendly results: Use the Up and Down arrow keys to move through results, press Enter to open the selected result, and press Esc to close search.
Why it matters
Customer context is often spread across responses, respondents, companies, surveys, and settings. Universal Search reduces the time spent moving between sections and applying separate filters. It also makes less frequently used settings and features easier to discover, while keeping every customer-data search within the active workspace.
Get started
- Select the search icon in the top navigation, or press Ctrl+K / Command+K.
- Enter at least two characters from a response comment, tag, person, company, survey, setting, or feature.
- Select a result, or navigate with the arrow keys and press Enter.
- Press Esc whenever you want to close Universal Search.
Tip: Try action-based searches such as "create survey," "invite user," "billing," "tags," or "export" to get to common tasks faster.
