This guide shows how to embed a Novella Email survey in your Outlook on the web signature (Microsoft 365) so the survey appears automatically in new emails.
A correct Novella embed is typically an HTML table containing score links (`1`, `2`, `3`, etc.) that point to score-specific URLs. Before pasting into Outlook signature settings:
Outlook Online signatures typically do not support personalization tokens in this embed flow. Use the standard Novella snippet and validate final links from a received test email.
1. In Outlook Online, click Settings (gear icon).
2. Click Mail → Compose and reply.
3. In the Email signature editor, place the cursor where the survey should appear.
4. Paste the Novella embed snippet.
5. Enable the signature options for new messages (and replies/forwards if desired).
6. Click Save.
7. Compose a new message and verify the signature contains the survey scale.
8. Send a test email to one or more inboxes (Outlook + Gmail recommended).
Outlook Online may simplify HTML/CSS. As long as each score remains clearly clickable and links correctly, the embed is functioning.
Keep surrounding signature content concise and avoid extra inline formatting around the survey block.
If needed, separate your normal contact details and the survey block with one blank line, then re-save and test again.
